Christmas is fast approaching – how did that even happen? – and the pressure is on to get the gift shopping done.
When it comes to Christmas shopping, there are two approaches I take:
1. A full day of shopping based cardio at my local Westfield
I write a list, wear comfortable clothes – check out this post for those tips – and shop like a Christmas Ninja.
Yes, I duck and weave my way through the slow walkers and the phone holders, stopping only to make a hard left into the next store on the list.
Several trips are made to the car throughout the day, because
a) although I’m completely up myself, the thought of Valet Parking at a mall makes me want to eye roll out loud.
Valet Parking at The Hilton on the other hand? Shut up and take my money! While I quietly die inside thinking about how much money that service actually costs.
b) carrying bags counts as heavy lifting and that’s right up there with hot yoga. You’ll never see me do it.
2. Online shopping at random times throughout the day and night
I add to cart at a mix of both big brand stores and smaller, independent stores.
This year in particular, I’ve been supporting local online businesses.
Those owned by Brisbane and Sunshine Coast based women who have created their own products or opened their own stores.
Bloggers, Business Chicks and Creatives and who are kicking butt in the highly competitive online shopping market. Women whose products I’m sure you will love as much as I do…
