5 Random Facts About Guns

Earlier this week Guns celebrated his 43rd birthday. And is there a better way to mark that milestone than your wife belting out a blog post featuring borderline embarrassing facts about you for ~~a very small percentage of the world~~ all the world to read? I think not!

1. He has a thing for feet

And not in a good way. In fact he despises them.

Yep, Guns thinks feet are the ugliest thing ever invented. He won’t look at them, touch them or heaven forbid, rub them. And that’s just his own.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen him wear a pair of thongs (flip-flops for our US readers) and if I put on a pair of super cute peep toes, let’s just say Guns probably won’t look at my outfit from the knee down!

2. He can whip up an epic cocktail

Really he can. Mainly because he’s a bit of an enabler when it comes to drinking.

Seriously, if you come over to our place for a meal Guns would be so pleased with himself if you went home off your chops drunk.

I think that’s because he’s also a bit obsessed with the 80’s and fancies himself as a bit of Tom Cruise Cocktail style bartender. Before Tom Cruise went all couch jumpy, obvs.

Yep, he likes to stand in the kitchen whipping up all sorts of cocktails with the 80’s music blasting in the background. Which, I have to say, isn’t exactly a bad thing. Until you stand up and realise those French Martinis might’ve been doubles.

3. Air guitar is his hidden talent

Although it’s not exactly hidden around these parts.

I often get to watch quite the air guitar solo by Guns and let me tell you, there’s nothing sexier than watching your man belt out imaginary riffs to November Rain in the lounge room.

4. He’d like to be a pilot

Of fighter jets, obvs. Not boring old commercial planes. I mean who wants to fly passengers from BNE to LAX all day long? Not Guns, that’s for sure.

No, Guns likes a challenge and if he had his time over again he’d like to be one of those pilots that flies jets over the ocean and lands them on a big arse naval ship. Like Maverick and Goose but without the need for an ejection seat.

5. He makes me laugh everyday

Really, he does. It’s no secret that the last 12 months have been complete and utter shit for me health wise. I honestly don’t know how I would have got through it without Scott by my side.

He is the most incredible, hard-working, loyal, family man you will ever meet.

And he makes me laugh every single day.
