I don’t know about you but I feel like this year has flown by. Before we know it the festive season will be in full swing.
Christmas parties, work functions and family get togethers will be happening every other weekend.
For some it’s a time of year that’s filled with nothing but fresh air, sunshine and fun. For others it’s a time of year that’s anything but fun.
But it doesn’t have it be that way. Everyone deserves to have an enjoyable Summer, including you.
Sometimes it’s our own thoughts or behaviours that hold us back from having fun.
Why not try letting go of these things before the year is out?
1. Comparing
Nothing is ever what it seems. Everyone has their own issues going on in the background and if everyone in your life was honest about theirs, you would likely be very grateful for yours.
2. Competing
There’s room for everyone in this life. Competing with others is right up there with jealousy – a complete waste of time and energy.
3. Judging
Judging a person doesn’t define who they are, it defines who you are. Taking the time to get to know someone before jumping to conclusions about them is always a good idea.
4. Anger
Holding onto anger often leads to feelings of resentment. Let that anger go and the forgiveness will follow.
5. Regret
We’ve probably all said and done things we regret. As long as we learn from those regretful things, they’re not mistakes. Don’t carry them with you. Use them as stepping-stones to walk towards the next adventure.
6. Worry
Worry doesn’t solve a thing. It robs you of today’s happiness and takes your mind to places and events that haven’t actually happened. Life is for living not over thinking.
7. Perfection
Perfection is a fairytale. Tell yourself that and it will change your perfectionist life.
Ok, your turn…
What’s one thing you would like to let go of before the year ends?
