This post is brought to you by DFO Jindalee.
I don’t know what it’s like at your place, but around these parts hitting the shops isn’t exactly at the top of my husband’s To Do List (I mean, can you even imagine what that must feel like? To not want to go shopping?!) and as a result, I usually end up buying most of the items in his wardrobe. Which, I might add, is a really easy task because a) he’ll happily wear whatever I bring home and b) mens sizing is almost always universal, no matter what shop you go into. Half their luck!
Earlier this week I headed over to DFO Jindalee to do a bit of back to work shopping for Scott AND managed to talk him into appearing on the blog wearing his new back to work wardrobe items. So let’s have a look at what I picked up for him, shall we?
My first stop was a menswear store called Connor, which was jam packed full of bargains. Nathaniel, the very helpful and knowledgable sales assistant, let me know that they had a current special on selected business shirts. Normally they’re $50 each but at the moment they’re reduced to $20 each or two for $30. Um, I’ll take two for $30 thanks….
When choosing the shirts, I went for a more formal look (above) for the days when Scott needs to attend meetings etc and a more casual look (below) which although was classed as a business shirt, looks great untucked and worn with a pair of shorts.
I also picked up this great blue check shirt, which was reduced from $50 down to $30 and with sleeves that can be rolled up or down, is perfect for the current heatwave we’re enduring in Brisbane at the moment…
My next stop was the menswear store, yd. I couldn’t believe my luck when I spied this white shirt with blue trim reduced from $90 down to $30…
And because life can’t be all work and no play, I picked up this casual tshirt which was marked down from $30 to $20…
So all up, I managed to purchase five shirts that are perfect for both work and the weekend for a grand total of $110. I don’t know about you, but I reckon that’s great value for money!
And just in case you need to hit DFO Jindalee for a spot of back to work shopping for the man in your life, all of the business shirts I purchased are size Medium and the t-shirt is a Small. Because for some strange reason, Scott likes his t-shirts super tight!
