Many of you would know by now, that back in what can only be described as The Olden Days, I was a teacher. What you might not know, is that as a teacher you’re often taught many things from the children and parents who enter your classroom each and every day. One of the main things I learnt back in my teaching days, is that often the seemingly small things in life are actually the things that make a big difference.
Something that many of the parents used to do for me, was bring in baked goods for morning tea on a regular basis. I know. So thoughtful. And such a small, simple act of kindness that really did make a big difference to my day. Quite often, I would ask those lovely, thoughtful mums for the recipes of whatever it was they delivered to my classroom, because believe or not, back then I wasn’t exactly a whiz in the kitchen.
So today I give you a much loved Banana Cake recipe. One that was given to me by a mum of a little preppie girl who I taught way back in The Year 2000! Enjoy ๐
