Ok, so here’s fun fact that you might not know about me. I’m what you might call a Bit Of A Prude. And, believe it or not, quite a private person. So you can imagine my reaction when I was given the task of heading to DFO Jindalee with specific instructions to buy lingerie for Valentine’s Day. Honestly? I could not stop laughing, which of course is a very mature approach. But then I was told to “have fun with it” which was excellent advice and definitely the approach I took. So let’s have a look at what fun things I came home with, shall we?
My first stop was Cotton On Body, where every single thing in the store was $10 or under. Not.Even.Kidding. So all of those cute, fun goodies in the photo came in at $51. Can you even believe it?! Let’s have a closer look at some of the items…
Now long time readers will get the joke with this over sized, super comfortable Sleep Tee. Back in the day, when this blog began, I said the word ‘totes’ a lot. Fortunately for all of us, I’ve dropped that word from my vocabulary, but when I walked into the store and saw it, I knew I had to have it! It was originally $19.95 and I picked it up for the bargain price of $10.
I also had to have this more fitted Basic Sleep Tee because Nuit is french for dark/night, and we all know how much I love everything French. Throw in a cute gold love heart at the bottom, together with the price ($5! Reduced from $19.95) and it was sold!
Both of those tees look and feel so soft and comfy, so I knew I had to find something equally as comfortable to wear with them…
So I picked up a gorgeous pair of green marle, skinny leg track pants from Cotton On Body’s Lounge range. They were originally $19.95 but I picked them up for $10. And see that gorgeous little bracelet in the pic? That was only $2 and all proceeds go directly to the Cotton On Foundation. A charity that helps a small village in Southern Uganda.
I also scored a gorgeous pair of slippers for $5 and two pairs of bikini briefs that were marked down to $2 a pair! And because I was told to “have fun with it”, check out what’s written on the back…
I mean, if you can’t have a bit of fun on Valentine’s Day, when can you?!
I also picked up this cute red workout top for $5. Because no doubt I’ll need to go for a very long cardio session after consuming a tonne of Valentine’s Day chocolate…
And finally, I purchased this gorgeous Barrel Bag for $10 (it was originally $24.95) because I’m also assuming I’ll be whisked away somewhere for Valentine’s Day that will require an overnight bag. Ha.
So after having so much fun at Cotton On Body, I headed to Simone Perele. A gorgeous, up market lingerie store that had so many bargains I honestly didn’t know where to start.
Everything about Simone Perele is gorgeous. From the lovely box the gift voucher was presented in (which, btw, would make a great Valentine’s Day gift…feel free to forward this link to your other half so they know that’s what you would like 😉 ) to the stunning change rooms (think glam pale pink and black decor) to the way the lovely staff wrap your purchases (in gorgeous pale pink tissue, which they lightly spray with a soft scent before placing your new lingerie in a gift bag). Yes, Simone Perele at DFO Jindalee certainly knows a thing or two about providing a fabulous shopping experience.
Now mum, I know you read this blog, so close your eyes, because this is what I purchased:
A gorgeous raspberry coloured bra. Which was marked down from $114.95 to…wait for it…$28! And a matching pair of bikini briefs, which were $54.95 but I paid just $14. I don’t know about you, but I reckon a gorgeous matching set of lingerie for only $42 is a bargain. I also picked up a pale pink wash bag, because even though you’re meant to hand wash all of your lingerie, sometimes it’s easier to throw it in the machine and have a coffee instead.
I can confirm that the store had a wide variety of sizes in this range to choose from as well as plenty of other equally gorgeous colours and styles, so if, like me, you’re looking to have a bit of fun this Valentine’s Day, DFO Jindalee might just be the shopping destination for you!
