It’s a big call but honestly this Chocolate Mud Cake would have to be the best chocolate mud cake recipe I’ve ever made.

That’s an excellent question and I’m so pleased you asked. Here’s the reasons why?
- Despite the list of ingredients looking a bit lengthy, it’s actually a chocolate mud cake that’s quite easy to make.
- It serves A LOT of people.
- It will last up to a week, assuming you don’t inhale it all in one sitting.
- It has high show pony factor, especially if you bake it in a round tin that is on the smaller size in diameter. Just look at how high it is!
Here’s the chocolate mud cake last week for Scott’s birthday. Just look at how fancy it looks sitting up there on the cake stand, all chocolatey and tall!
I mean it totally looks like it’s waiting patiently for someone to slice into it and serve it up with a generous dollop of cream. And that’s exactly what we did after dinner, but I was so busy enjoying the cake that I forgot to take photos.
So naturally the next day I styled a slice of the cake just for this blog post. And possibly ate it afterwards….
