So remember way back in January when I came up with the crazy idea of bringing the penpal back by writing you a letter? So far I’ve written nearly 50 letters and have posted them to places far and wide like Emu Plains, Australia (hi Mel!), Norwich, UK (hi Emma…love your baking pics on instagram btw), Arizona, USA (hi Kristin!), Hereford, UK (Hi Jackie!), Christchurch, NZ (Kia ora Kay, Carrie & Jane B!) and Ireland (hi Sally Anne!)
I’ve absolutely LOVED seeing all the pics pop up on my Instagram feed when the letters have arrived and can’t thank you all enough for joining in….
Thanks also to those of you who have written back. It’s been such a lovely surprise each and every time I’ve found a letter waiting for me in the mailbox. (And if you haven’t written back, please don’t worry. At no time throughout this whole bringing the penpal back thing did I expect anyone to write back!)
In other news, I can confirm that I’m fairly sure I’ve developed a mild case of writers cramp (although that could also be caused by lifting one too many champagne glasses towards my mouth over the weekend) and the lovely staff at my local Kikki K store now know me on a first name basis 😉
