Last weekend I met up with a few other bloggers and attended the Brisbane Pregnancy Babies & Children’s Expo, thanks to Blog Power Events and Dorel. And before you ask, no! I am definitely not up the duff! But I do have plenty of readers who are, so I thought it would be a good opportunity to learn more about the latest and greatest baby products and share them with you.
We met for breakfast and then headed across to the Brisbane Convention Centre before the gates opened, to have a sneak peak at the latest baby products on offer from Safety 1st, Maxi-Cosi and Quinny. I was a bit blown away by how much things have changed in the baby world since I last pushed a pram some 10 years ago! Everything is so light, so compact and SO easy to fold up!!
After learning about clever new products such as strollers made from parachute fabric that are so lightweight and compact, they can be taken on board a plane as carry on luggage, we were able to have a wander around the expo.
Myself, Bec from the blog The Plumbette and Jasmine from the blog Pretty Chuffed.
Bec, AKA The Plumbette (yes, she is a plumber!) and I spent an hour or so looking at all the fab pregnancy, baby and children’s items on display, which for a shopping addict like myself, was a lot of fun. Bec is 4 weeks away from giving birth to baby number 3, so I spent a fair bit of time making sure her waters weren’t going to break anytime soon! I joked that while she was definitely in the right place to have a baby and it would make one hell of a blog post, my first aid certificate wasn’t up to date and I didn’t know where on earth I would get boiling water or towels from. Fortunately, Bec’s baby was very well behaved and there was no need for anyone to race over to the nearest obstetrics stand and ask for help!
While Bec and I were doing the expo rounds, we came across a gorgeous little stand that was promoting a fabulous range of natural toothpaste. We started chatting to Rachel, the owner of Jack n Jill and she kindly offered us a pack of goodies to giveaway on our blogs! So, if you would like to win everything shown in the photo above (that’s one sleepover bag, two tubes of natural toothpaste in certified organic flavours of blackcurrant and blueberry, one biodegradable toothbrush and a magnet, total value $25) simply leave a comment below and a winner will be drawn at random on Monday!
Have you ever been to the Brisbane Pregnancy Babies and Children’s Expo? What did you think of it?
Thank you to Dorel for breakfast, the ticket into the Brisbane Pregnancy Babies and Children’s Expo and the bag of Saftey 1st baby items we were sent home with.
