Look, I won’t lie. This Chocolate Chip Loaf recipe isn’t one I whip up very often. Partly because one slice is never enough but mostly because it tastes so good, it never lasts longer than a day in the pantry!
The kids absolutely love it, which, if it lasted long enough, would make a great addition to their school lunch boxes!
Now while this Chocolate Chip Loaf recipe is really easy to make, it does take quite some time to bake (1 – 1.5 hours depending on how slow your oven is.)
However, the end result is a delicious, dense loaf that is definitely worth the wait!
It’s best served warm, because the chocolate chips will be slightly melted, but it’s also great served cold with a glass of milk or a cup of coffee. This of course, needs to be followed by a brisk walk around the block to walk off all those rich, dense chocolate filled calories!

Scott loves them in the loaf, while the kids and I prefer the standard pants tightening chocolate chip loaf.
