This year one of my first Christmas purchases was wrapping paper. It caught my eye as I was purchasing a pair of shoes. Yes, there as wrapping paper in the shoe department. Odd, yet obviously a highly effective selling technique as I picked up two rolls. And so, without even knowing it, my colour theme for Christmas 2013 was chosen. I like to call it Vintage Pastel. Look, here’s a visual…
As you can see I’ve ditched the traditional Christmas colours and gone in hard with pretty pastels, even for the boys, which probably won’t go down too well with the nephews but they’re only little and I think we can all agree that how things look under a tree is an important aspect of Christmas!
I picked up the tags and ribbon at my local $2 shop and went for a pastel mix and match look. I like to use decent sticky tape because the cheap stuff just falls off in the Queensland heat and buying gifts that come in nice neat boxes makes wrapping really easy. It also makes things look lovely under the tree, especially when the lights are twinkling and you’re holding a champagne in your hand while admiring your mad ninja wrapping skills. Or so I’ve heard!
Do you have a Christmas theme or do you just wing it?
