Usually on a Friday you would find a Cooking or Cocktails With Kirsten episode waiting for you to watch. That happened yesterday (click here to view it!) because today I’m joining in with some fabulous Aussie bloggers for a Christmas Wreath Showcase.
I know. I’m basically Tonia Todman with a Martha Stewart chaser. Does anybody need a cup of sugar or a metre of raffia, because I’ve got both!
I love Christmas Wreaths but I never know quite how to hang them on my front door. Mostly because our front door is a mixture of timber and glass panels, so it just seems easier to leave the front door alone and come up with an alternative with the wreath situation.
And as luck would have it, I have!
For the past couple of years now, I’ve been using my Christmas Wreath as a table centrepiece and today I’m going to show you how you can do it too.
If you’re a bit craft challenged, don’t panic! This little project is so quick and easy, I reckon anyone would be able to do it.
Although I have heard that in instances of craft fear, sipping on a glass of bubbles can help ease the tension, so maybe give that a try and see if it works.
How To Make A Christmas Wreath Centrepiece
You Will Need:
1. A wreath I’ve gone for a traditional look, but choose whatever wreath you like and it will definitely work.
2. A candle Choose any candle you like but make sure it’s fairly wide and on the tallish side so it fits nicely in the middle of the wreath (in keeping with the Christmas theme, I’ve used a Molton Brown Festive Frankincense & Allspice Single Wick Candle)
3. A saucer From any cup and saucer set you have at home. I’ve used my favourite set, which you can read about in this post: 5 Fun Things: Homewares Edition if you’d like more info.
How To Make Your Christmas Wreath Centrepiece
1. Turn your saucer upside down.
2. Place your wreath over the top of the saucer, ensuring the saucer is in the middle of the wreath.
3. Put the candle on top of the saucer and BAM! You’re done.
4. Place it in the middle of your table and continue to decorate the table with your favourite Christmas decorations until you’re happy with the final look.
I’m delighted to be a part of today’s Christmas Wreath Showcase, co-ordinated by the team at DIY Decorator.
