Earlier today, Sophie and I set up a little pamper station using some gorgeous products sent to me from the lovely people at The Body Shop At Home and I thought I’d share it with you. So here we go with our DIY Manicure In 6 Easy Steps…
STEP ONE:
Soak your nails in a warm bowl of water. We added a dash of Strawberry Shower Gel to our bowl, which smelt delicious and left our hands feeling lovely and soft.
STEP TWO:
Remove your nail polish and exfoliate your hands. We used Brazil Nut Body Scrub, which is very light and creamy in texture, making it perfect for young and old hands alike.
Exfoliating with the Brazil Nut Body Scrub helps to scrub away dead skin cells and stimulate microcirculation which results in your skin feeling velvety soft and smooth to touch.
STEP THREE:
Soften your cuticles with a cream or oil of your choice. We used a small amount of Tea Tree Oil for it’s soothing, antibacterial properties.
STEP FOUR:
Moisturise your hands. We used Brazil Nut Beautifying Oil because it’s lightweight, non-sticky and a little drop of it really does go a long way…
STEP FIVE:
Paint your nails. Sophie went for glittery pink, while I went for sensible clear.
STEP SIX:
Wait patiently for your nails to dry before giving your hands a post-mani moisturise. We used a good dollop of Strawberry Body Puree, which according to Sophie “smells delicious” and left our hands feeling soft and smooth.
And there you have it! Our DIY Manicure in 6 Easy Steps.
