The last time I rocked Double Denim was back in 1987. I was 14 and going to a Pseudo Echo concert with a friend from school.
Obviously when you’re going to be hearing Funky Town live you need to put a lot of time and effort into the outfit you’ll be wearing and I distinctly remember having many conversations with my friends at school about what exactly I would be wearing to such an important life event!
Sadly I don’t have any photos of my outfit (taking photos of yourself before a concert wasn’t a thing back then) but if you’d like to imagine a fairly short teenage girl with hair bigger than the guy on the left in the photo above, wearing a knee length pale denim skirt with a matching oversized faded denim jacket, that she’d begged her long suffering mother to buy her, white shoes and her favourite peach and white stripped t-shirt on, then, well, you definitely get the picture!
Now if that sounds like your sort of outfit, then brace yourselves because Double Denim 2015 has arrived.
Yep, Double Denim is back and based on what I’ve seen so far, I reckon our good mate Charmaine will be ALL OVER IT.
There are lots of different Double Denim 2015 options out there, so today I thought I’d present you with a couple of different looks that will work for you no matter where you live.
If you live in a cold climate for example, you might like to pop on a denim jacket and a pair of super lo slung jeans. Because nothing says Double Denim and I Think I’ve Done A Poo In My Pants quite like this look!

All up, this acid wash Double Denim 2015 edit will set you back $735. Now I know that sounds like a lot, but when you consider how much you’ll save in handbags it really is a bargain!
Seriously, you’ll never need to buy a handbag again. Just shove your wallet, lippie and car keys down that epic drop crotch of your acid washed jeans and you’re good to go!
Don’t worry about the looks you’ll possibly get from randoms when you whip out your EFTPOS card from your pants at the supermarket. They’ll soon catch onto your money saving approach and before you know it, everyone will be rocking double denim.
And don’t forget that every new fashion trend also requires a new hair do, so maybe take a copy of this photo to your hairdresser as a source of inspiration and your look will be complete!
