Ever wondered how to make a chocolate chip cake from scratch? In her latest Vlog, Kirsten shows you how!
Ok, so here’s the thing. Baking things from scratch isn’t hard. Honestly, it’s not. You just need to stock your pantry with a few essential items (flour, sugar, cocoa), have eggs and milk in the fridge and a muffin tin and a cake tin in the cupboard and you’ve got yourself a good little baking starter kit.
The baking tins can be a bit pricey, so if I need a new one I usually sneak it in with my groceries. I mean, I will be using it to fill the kids lunch boxes with food, so technically it’s a grocery item, right?
In this latest episode of Cooking With Kirsten I’m going to show you how to make a chocolate chip cake from scratch. Once you’ve watched it, you’ll see that it took all of 3-4 minutes to mix the cake batter and even though it took a solid hour to bake in the oven, I used that time VERY wisely (all will be revealed in the video!)
It’s a delicious cake, one that’s really easy to make and if you’ve never baked before, this might just be the cake for you to try!
As promised in the Vlog, here’s the link to the original Chocolate Chip Cake blog post that has the recipe card for you to print out. Please click here if you would like to print out a copy of the recipe.
Do you like to make things from scratch? Does anyone know where I might find a camera man who can zoom in on baked goods while getting rid of double chins AND fix harsh lighting? Asking for a friend, obviously!
