It’s been a while since I’ve done any baking, partly because we’ve been a bit busy moving house but mainly because I have a tendency to eat a lot of the baking and as a result my pants are starting to shrink!
But earlier this week Sophie asked if we could do some baking and since I was keen to give my new oven a whirl, I said sure! Why not?!
My new oven is hiding under the back bench there. After having a very old and extremely slow oven for the last 5 years, I’m a bit beside myself at having a large, fan forced oven to work with!

But back to how to make chocolate chip cookies from scratch. This simple recipe takes less than 10 minutes to prepare and around 15 minutes to bake, with the end result being delicious chocolate chip cookies that are a great addition to the school lunch boxes…if they actually last that long!
