For Bailey’s 11th Birthday he asked for a Ice Cream Themed Birthday Party, which I thought was a great idea and really easy to put together!
It was a really budget friendly party to put together as all of the containers, jars etc I used to put together the Ice Cream Themed party table were already in my cupboard. I designed and printed out the Keep Calm sign myself and used leftover bunting from Bailey’s Diary of a Wimpy Kid birthday party the year before. So all I had to purchase were the ice cream toppings. Too easy!
During the party, the kids were given a couple of scoops of ice cream in a bowl and told to help themselves to the toppings, Cold Rock style. (Cold Rock is a ice-cream shop here in Australia where you can order your ice-cream with all sorts of lollies mixed through it)
Let’s have a closer look at some of the Ice Cream Themed Party details, shall we?
I filled a vintage coca-cola tray I’d purchased a while ago with mini milk bottles and filled half with milk for the kids to drink and the other half were filled with sprinkles, for everybody to pour over their ice cream!
I filled 3 ice cream sundae bowls that I purchased from Kmart with various brightly coloured lollies. I then stamped the names of the lollies onto wooden spoons, so the kids would know what they were eating!
It was a really fun party and the kids had a great time helping themselves to so much sugar!
Oh and huge thanks to the team at Spaceships and Laserbeams for featuring Bailey’s party on their website today! What a thrill that was to wake up to!!
Have you ever put together an Ice Cream Themed Birthday Party? Or maybe you’d like one for yourself?!
