One thing I did not expect when I started sharing my daily outfit posts on Instagram was random blokes deciding it’s ok to leave cringe worthy comments on those photos from time to time.
Or worse, a rose emoji with a kiss chaser.
No, I will not accept your dodgy emoticon rose and ewwww, gross. Osher, once you’ve finished shampooing your hair, could you please show this creep the block and delete button? Thanks so much!
Honestly, I’m fairly sure I signed up for Insta not Tinder.
And have they not looked at my feed properly? I mean in amongst images of outfits, cups of coffee and a maiden hair fern (which FYI is STILL alive!), there are photos of Guns and the kids!
Yes, I’m very happily married with two children. Or does that not matter to anyone anymore?
This morning I was on the receiving end of a DM (direct message) from yet another charmer, who felt the need to send me a kiss in private. I know. So thoughtful of him. FFS.
Needless to say, I blocked and deleted him, but not before I took a screen shot and sent it through to Guns during our morning chat. (Excuse the language. Was a bit annoyed about Joel.)
So there’s three things I feel we need to discuss here:
- Apple needs to get its shit together with the battery life in the iPhone 6. 30% at 8.37am is appalling.
- Guns is quite quick-witted.
- If you’ve got young daughters on Insta, maybe check their account every once in a while. It’s one thing for an adult to have to put up with this sort of crap from weirdos who think it’s ok to fire off inappropriate messages and comments, but at least we know how to deal with it – Ignore, Block and Delete! Teens and young adults shouldn’t have to deal with that sort of nonsense from blokes who obviously have far too much time on their hands.
Do creeps follow you around on Instagram too? Any tips on how to prolong the battery life on my phone? Or perhaps you’ve been to Portugal?
