And just like that it’s December 1st! Not long to go now and the big guy in the red suit will be pulling his sleigh up outside your house and delivering all sorts of goodies to everyone inside.
In the 3 years that I’ve been blogging, I’ve written quite a few posts about Christmas and I’m sure there will be a few more in the weeks ahead. In the meantime, here’s a roundup of some of my favourite Christmas themed posts that I thought you might enjoy!
Kirsten’s Christmas Round Up
Christmas Themed Birthday Party:
Back in 2011 I put together a Christmas Themed Birthday Party for Sophie, which ended up being featured on both Amy Atlas and The TomKat Studio websites. I KNOW. It was a total Martha Moment for me and not one I’ve been able to replicate since!
For all the details of how to put together your own Christmas Themed Birthday Party, or to get some ideas on how to decorate a Christmas Table, please read this post
How To Make A Christmas Themed Kit Kat Cake
I’m not going to lie. When I made this cake and whacked a photo of it on the blog, I wasn’t expecting the attention it received, but it went off like a frog in a sock! Think lots of shares on Pinterest and Facebook, which was all sorts of awesome.
Despite looking dead set fancy, it’s a really easy cake to make. You can find all the instructions on how to make your own Kit Kat Cake right here
Advent Calendars
Want to make your own Advent Calendar this year? No problem! Here’s the link to one I whipped up back in 2011 using nothing but paper bags and a printer: How To Make Your Own Advent Calendar
And if you make that Advent Calendar, you’re going to need some ideas of what to put in each bag. Here you go: Advent Calendar Activity Ideas
By 2013, I was in full Martha Mode and whipped up yet another paper bag Advent Calendar, complete with numbered stickers. Click here for the link to that little chestnut.
Or maybe you’d like to read a funny story involving Adult Advent Calendars? As luck would have it, I’ve blogged about that too! Click here for that hilarious post.
Inappropriate Teacher Gifts:
Not sure what to give your child’s teacher this Christmas? Why not read the post about the time Scott purchased a rather inappropriate teacher gift while he was in the States last year? Click here for that post!
Christmas Wreaths:
Looking for some Christmas Wreath inspiration? This post right here has got you covered. It’s also got zero comments, so why not create history and be the first to leave a comment while you’re there?!
Christmas Activities For Kids:
If your kids are driving you a bit bonkers these school holidays, you could either a) pour yourself a glass of wine and drink it in the pantry or b) read this post that’s jam-packed with easy activities that will keep the kids occupied for hours on end. Well ok, I might be talking that up a bit, but there’s at least three activities in there that will give you enough time to complete option a!
Christmas Wrapping Ideas:
Last year I was all inspired by a roll of wrapping paper I bought at Myer and created a Vintage Christmas (as you do). If you’d like to see the photos and score some wrapping tips while you’re there, head on over to this post: Christmas Wrapping Ideas
There’s also some rather spectacular Christmas Decorating Ideas in this post, which may or may not be featuring at our house this year!
Here’s a link to a post I wrote last week, featuring some really easy decorating ideas: Super Easy Christmas Decorations.

And finally, perhaps you’d like to make some of my delicious Mini Christmas Cakes this year. Click here for all the instructions, which are really easy and result in a very delicious Christmas Cake. I promise!
