I didn’t turn the TV on much yesterday. Mostly because I’m the mum to an almost 10 year old who has a very vivid imagination and a genuine concern for the welfare of others that runs deep.
But after reaching for my phone first thing this morning, this I know for sure.
Life is fragile.
It can be gone in an instant.
Sometimes we forget that and go about our lives driven by all sorts of nonsense, which, when all is said and done, means nothing.
I’m a big believer in trusting your gut/listening to your instincts/believing in the energy people throw your way/however you like to explain it. And sometimes, events happen to put things into perspective.
To remind us how fragile life is and to show us why we should never take our days, our family or our friends for granted.
So, as 2014 comes to a close and we all start thinking about the new year ahead, maybe trust your gut, listen to your instincts and believe in the energy. Because while we’re all in this crazy thing called life together, we only get one chance at it. Might as well make it the best one it can be x
