Recently, because it is now officially stinking hot in Brisbane and I’m not a massive fan of wearing skirts, I’ve been on a mission to find a comfortable pair of shorts. Which, let me tell you, hasn’t been easy.
Turns out that when you have the delightful combination of short, chunky legs and a fairly significant muffin top where your waist once used to be, finding the most comfortable shorts to wear takes a lot of trying on in a wide variety of change rooms and a shit load of perseverance.
But, I’m pleased to report that I did not give up and today I present to you the most comfortable shorts I’ve found this year. Big call, but it’s 100% true!
After trying on approximately 3,762* pairs of shorts, I stumbled across these beauties in Rockmans.
*may or may not be the exact number
They’re the perfect mix of cotton and elastane (hello stretchy fabric!) and I picked them up for what I thought was the bargain price of $40. But they’re now on sale of $28, so I’m thinking I might need to get myself another couple of pairs in lighter and darker denim!
Why yes, I am standing in my wardrobe to take that shot. Apologies for the white sneaker that’s around the wrong way and the orange wedged heel that’s poking out a bit too far. Must straighten both of those ASAP!
And now for the links, so you can go shopping for the most comfortable shorts too!
Rockmans Distressed Denim Mid Wash Short, currently on sale for $27.99 (I’m wearing a size 16)
Mink Denim Short Sleeve Amore Stripe Cuff Tee, purchased from Myer, also currently on sale for $29.96
Mink Denim is a plus size range. I’m wearing a small, which is now too big and not the most flattering tshirt in my wardrobe, but I like my tshirts on the baggy side, so I think I’ll keep wearing it!
Have you had any luck finding a pair of the most comfortable shorts this season? Where did you get them from? We would all love to know!
