Last month, Scott outdid himself in the Father of The Year department and managed to get his hands on two tickets to the One Direction concert that’s happening next year.
We kept the ticket purchase very quiet and because Sophie has always wanted a surprise party, I decided to throw her a One Direction surprise party on the weekend!
Three of her friends were invited over, Scott took Sophie out for an ice-cream and I had approximately 27 minutes to throw everything together, before Sophie walked back through the garage door and we all yelled “SURPRISE!”
I’d been secretly working away on putting together themed party bags, treat boxes and decorations for the last couple of weeks and was quite happy with how everything looked on the day…
The Concert Ticket Reveal…
Sophie knew nothing about the party and was very surprised when she walked through the door and heard us all yelling at her, but the best reaction was when we gave her a little white box that had two One Direction concert tickets inside!
Cue a VERY surprised One Direction fan, who upon realising she was going to see the band in concert, burst into tears and gave me a huge hug. It was a great moment and well worth keeping a secret for so many weeks!!

Keeping It Real:
After Sophie had got used to the idea that a) she was at her very own surprise party and b) she was actually going to a One Direction concert, the girls cranked up the iPod and spent the afternoon fun looming to One Direction songs.
There were fun looms as far as the eye could see and the pretty little party table I put together was destroyed in a matter of minutes, but the non stop giggling and slightly out of tune singing made it all worth it!
