Alrighty. Week Three of Operation Loose Pants is about to kick off!

But before we get stuck into this week’s new habit, let’s have a quick debrief about Week Two’s goal. How did you go with the quest to stay hydrated? Did you drink enough water to fill a swimming pool? Me too!
And how did you go with the exercise side of things? Remember we’re meant to be doing 30 minutes of any type of exercise three times a week. I only managed two walks this week, as I’ve been feeling a bit run down and flu-ish, but I did do an epic 10,000 steps at the shops on Friday, so I think that probably counts!

OPERATION LOOSE PANTS: THIS WEEK’S NEW HABIT
Ok, so this week I thought we should probably start eating a bit more fruit and veg. Don’t worry, I’m not going to make you go all vegan/paleo/raw (although if you do eat that way already, GO YOU!) but I am going to encourage you to add a few more greens to your meals this week.
I start my morning off with a really healthy breakfast of natural muesli (not that baked stuff…it’s full of sugar and despite having a rather large sweet tooth, I don’t like sweet things for breakfast…if only I could say that about the rest of the day’s food intake!) Lunch is usually a sandwich and dinner is usually some sort of meat and veg combo.
So this week I’m going to aim to snack on a piece of fruit or some carrot sticks and snow peas. I’m also going to bulk up my lunch time sandwiches with more lettuce and tomato. That doesn’t sound too hard, does it?! I reckon we can all manage sneaking a few more veggies into our day AND keep up the exercise and water intake. What do you think?
