Last month I wrote a post called How To Declutter Your Wardrobe Like a Boss! and mentioned at the end of it that one of these days I was going to get around to taking some sneaky photos of Pam’s wardrobe to show you.
Turns out quite a few of you were keen to see Pam’s wardrobe set up and on the weekend I was finally able to take the photos to make that happen!
We were at Mum and Dad’s for lunch to celebrate my nieces and sister-in-law’s birthdays, so naturally Pam trotted out the good stuff.
Thanks to the medication I’m taking for this IIH thing I’ve got and the 1,000 calorie a day torture of a menu plan The Food Nazi has me on, I can’t drink anything bubbly at the moment (the medication makes anything fizzy taste like metal and one glass of bubbles would tip TFN over the edge if I tried to get away with having even the smallest sip!) so taking photos of it was as close as I came to joining in with the fizzy fun.
Added to that, the pesky case of Epiploic Appendigitis I was recently diagnosed with decided to flare up again, so while everyone else was sipping on champers and eating cake, I was basically lying on the couch with a bottle of water. GOOD TIMES!
Anyway, while the fun was happening around me I decided to sneak upstairs and take a few photos of Pam’s wardrobe for you. Which was all going well, until Pam walked in and asked me what I was doing in her wardrobe with my camera.
“Um….”
“Oh for gods sake, is this going on your blog?”
“Let’s say it is. Would that be a problem?”
“Well I have just had a huge clean out and tidied everything up, so today is probably a good day to be taking photos of it!”
“Excellent. Thanks Mum.”
“Do I need to stay while you take the photos? It’s very hot up here and my drink is getting warm.”
“No, that’s all good. I’ll see you downstairs when I’m done.”
And with that, Pam was off downstairs and I was left to it.
Pam’s Wardrobe Tour
The Entrance
So this is what you see when you walk into Pam and Errol’s wardrobe (that’s Dad’s area on the left.)
My sister-in-law and I joke that when Pam pops off it’ll be GAME ON to race up the stairs and see who can grab those handbags first. Unfortunately for me my sister-in-law is a super fit half marathon runner and we all know how good I am at anything remotely sport related, so the odds aren’t exactly in my favour.
The Coat Hangers
Unlike my wardrobe set up, Pam’s not exactly tight on space, so flocked hangers aren’t required. Pam endorses the use of good quality wooden hangers instead and likes them to all face the same way, thank you very much.
Empty Space
I must admit I was bit shocked to see such massive amounts of empty space in Pam’s wardrobe and when I asked her about it, she explained that she’d just had a huge declutter and got rid of a lot of clothes that were no longer suitable. She also asked everyone not to panic, as she’ll do her best to re-fill that space within the next few months!
Shoe Storage
It’s been a while since I’ve visited Pam’s wardrobe and I thought her shoe storage situation was slightly larger than it is. But then I looked around and couldn’t see Dad’s shoes anywhere, so I called out to Mum and asked her if she could come back upstairs and show me where Errol’s shoes were kept.
“Oh, that’s easy!” she replied from the bottom of the stair. “I’ve made him a lovely area with loads of shoe storage behind the wardrobe door. Just close the door and you’ll see it!”
Not.Even.Kidding!
And there we have a not so sneaky tour of Pam’s wardrobe. Next up I think we need to see her pantry. What do you think?
