Thanks to a nasty chest infection, this has been my view for the past 6 days and I am officially over it!
Now when it comes to all things child related, I have the patience of a saint. Honestly, I do. I can easily endure the repeated “Can you watch me do this?” requests from anyone under the age of 12, messy bedrooms don’t bother me one bit and whenever I hear the word, “Muuuuuum” I have an uncanny ability to answer in my best sing songy teacher voice, “How may I help you?” every single time.
But when it comes to anything and everything else in my life, I am what I like to call Patiently Impatient. Which really is just a polite way of saying I’m happy to wait, as long as it gets done by yesterday!
So when I went to the doctors for the third time in 3 weeks and walked out with yet another script for antibiotics along with a little chat about getting plenty of rest and waiting patiently for full recovery to happen, I was less than impressed!
I don’t do waiting and I don’t do resting. Although this week, I’ve been forced to do both and quite frankly, both are overrated.
In addition to taking a course of antibiotics that are the size of horse tablets, I’ve been looking after myself by eating really nutritious food and taking a few supplements: olive leaf extract, spirulina tablets and heavy duty iron tablets. I mean, I’m basically one wheatgrass shot away from coming a certified naturopath, yet I’M STILL SICK!
Why yes, I did make myself an Acai Bowl, take a photo of it AND add a cute little saying to the image. SEND HELP ASAP!
So if you have any suggestions on how to recover from a lingering chest infection, I’d be forever grateful!
Are you patiently impatient? Do you have any tips on how to feel better that don’t involve watching re-runs of The Hills and guzzling feral tasting olive leaf extracts?
