Today Tropical Cyclone Marcia is due to hit Queensland. She’s a Category 5, so no doubt she’s going to leave some fairly hefty damage in her path. My fingers are crossed that everyone up north will be ok.
As for us stuck in Brisbane, the outlook isn’t great. We’ve been told to expect up to two month’s worth of rain in the next 24 hours, which will bring road and school closures with it. So today, thanks to Marcia’s wet weather pattern, I’m stuck inside with very frizzy hair and no idea what I should do all day!
At first I thought I could do the ironing…
but then I remembered how bloody boring that task is, so I tried to think of something else.
I walked past Bailey’s room and thought I should probably do something about the cord situation that he’s got happening….
but then I remember that I don’t bend down to pick things up unless they’re shiny or covered in chocolate, so I gave that one a miss!
Bailey’s room isn’t too far from the living room, so unfortunately this hot mess caught my eye….
It’s the packaging that was surrounding this lovely piece of furniture that was delivered yesterday:
Yes, I took it out of the box myself AND moved it up against the wall. I know. I’m basically a contestant on The Block.
Anyway, I thought about moving all of that packaging but then I remembered that I really should get a Cyclone Survival Kit sorted, so that’s what I did!
Are you stuck inside thanks to Cyclone Marcia? Wherever you are, I hope you’re safe!
