So Scott (or Guns as he’s affectionately known as over on Instagram… a nickname not coined by me, but by a few followers who apparently appreciate a good shirtless gardening/pool cleaning/general home maintenance shot when they see one) got back from his work trip to the States yesterday. I’m pleased to report that there were no heroic acts of bravery required (click here if you’re not sure what I’m talking about) so that was a bonus!
Before Scott went away, I gave him a fairly extensive list of things he might like to purchase for me at my all time favourite shop, Sephora. You know, to say thanks for staying at home and flying solo for a week while he does it *ahem* tough at a work thing in Las Vegas.
We have a good little system in place now when it comes to him going away and me being stuck at home. I write a Sephora list and he finds the time to make his way there, hands the list over to whoever is behind the counter and politely asks them if they can grab those things for him.
I also add a couple of extra things on the list for things like teacher presents for the kids to give to their teachers at the end of the year, because you know, I’ve got to make the most out of this whole Sephora list thing while I can!
Anyway, see that lip gloss gift pack smack bang in the middle? It wasn’t on the list, so when I saw it, I was intrigued.
“What’s the go with the lip gloss pack?” I asked.
“Oh they didn’t have any of those Philosophy gift packs you were after for the teacher presents, so the girl who helping me said that would be a good present instead. I don’t know anything about lipgloss except that you wear it and you used to be a teacher, so I thought it’d be ok?”
Well yes, I do like lipgloss. And yes, I did used to be a teacher. But upon closer inspection, I’m not so sure this particular gift set is an entirely appropriate gift to give!
Has your husband/partner ever purchased a gift that made you laugh so hard you had to blog about it? Do tell!
