On the weekend, Sophie had 4 of her besties over to celebrate her 10th birthday. It’s not actually her birthday until December, but we always throw her a party a few weeks early because, well, having a birthday party 5 days before Christmas usually means most of your friends can’t come.
This year Sophie asked if she could have a sleepover party, “please, pretty please Mummy?” “Sure! Why not?” was my reply.
And then, these gorgeous little tents from Cotton On Kids caught my eye (at 30% off I might add!) and so the Glamping Party theme was set.

For all the details on how I put the Glamping Party Table together, please read this post. We’ll wait for you to come back, I promise.

Love Heart Light: A gift to Sophie from my mum, purchased from Typo
Glamping Party Tents:
I purchased these online from Cotton On Kids for 20 bucks each. They took no time at all to set up and are a really good size!
The girls absolutely LOVED having their own little tent to hang out in during the party and it looked really cute when all 5 tents were set up with their sleeping bags, pillow and teddy bears!
Glamping Party Activities:
Sophie and her friends love crafty activities, so I set up a little Glamping Craft Area.
I had a good rummage through my office supplies and put together a table for the girls to make a friendship box each.
Once their boxes were decorated, the girls wrote letters to each other, placed them in each other’s friendship boxes and read them in their tents.
I also set up a Glamping Manicure Station, because let’s face it, who doesn’t want perfectly painted nails when they go glamping?!
And because Glamping is typically an outdoor activity, the girls all took part in a scavenger hunt.
And finally, I introduced the girls to old school photography with a little photo booth area set up using my Instax camera.
They couldn’t believe their eyes when the photo film appeared from the top of the camera and kept saying things like “This is so cool” and “Can we take another one?” Charmaine would’ve been so proud!
Glamping Party Food:
The party table was set up so the girls could help themselves to the lollies etc throughout the party and for dinner they all made their own pizzas and ate them on a picnic blanket inside. We had intended to have a camp fire for the girls to sit around outside, but it was too windy, so a picnic inside it was!
The Cake:
Usually I bake the birthday cake (if you’re looking for some inspiration in that department, check out Sophie’s Kit Kat Cake from a couple of years ago!) but this year Sophie asked for an ice cream cake, so no baking was required.
Instead I drove down to my local Cold Rock shop and picked up a Cookies & Cream Ice Cream Cake ($35), which, I must admit, was a whole lot easier than baking all day long!
Glamping Party Favours:
All the girls were given a pink tote bag ($6 each from OZSALE) to take home, which they filled with prizes etc throughout the party.
And that pretty much sums up Sophie’s Glamping Party! It was a lot of fun to put together and even more fun listening the sound of non stop giggling and chatting coming from the tents throughout the afternoon.
