Look I know I don’t usually belt out two blog posts in one day, but I reckon when you find out that Johnny Depp is going to be doing a meet and greet in full Jack Sparrow get up and it’s all happening a short 5 minute drive from your house, you should probably a) jump in your car and go check it out and b) keep your readers updated .
In case you missed Part One of this stalking Johnny Depp business, you can find it right here, but if you’re completely up to date with everything, here’s what went down when I hit Cleveland Point at approximately 8.15am this morning.
I pulled up to the normally idyllic little part of the world only to be met by what looked and felt like hundreds of people all heading to their cars.
“Oh shit,” I thought to myself. “I’ve totally missed Johnny. Or should that be he’s missed me?”
(Now might be a good time to mention that this morning Scott asked me what I was doing today and I told him I was off to stalk Johnny Depp. His response? “Excellent. Can you let me know how you go cos if you end up running away with him, I’m guessing I’m going to have to do the school run this afternoon?” So clearly he was not taking this whole stalking thing very seriously AT ALL. I mean AS IF Scott would have to do the school run. JD and I would be picking the kids up in his chopper!)

Sadly for all concerned, the helicopter was as close as I came to meeting Johnny Depp/Captain Jack Sparrow. Turns out I was 10 minutes late and he’d buggered off out into the middle of Moreton Bay to jump aboard The Black Pearl by the time I rocked up.

But all is not lost because a very good mate of mine (let’s call her Mel, for that is indeed her name) managed to see him AND get this shot of him

Now there’s two things I’d like to discuss in relation to this photo. Firstly, isn’t it refreshing to see a celebrity using a public entrance, just like the rest of us?!
And secondly, if I’m not mistaken, I think that might be our good friend Charmaine in the bottom left corner of the photo?!
