One of the things I really want to get better at this year is taking photos. I’m joining in with Fat Mum Slim‘s Photo A Day over on Instagram, which is a great way to take a few minutes out of your day to focus on something creative, so that’s a good start!
And if you’ve been reading here a while, you might recall that last year I participated in a couple of sponsor challenges as part of the Kidspot Voices of 2014 blogging comp. I was lucky enough to win a place in the Olympus challenge and as a result scored $1500 worth of lenses to go with my previously purchased OM-D E-M10 AND an underwater camera. Which will be great for all the scuba diving I do. And by scuba diving, I mean poolside cocktails mocktails, obvs!
Anyway, I’ve decided I really should put my fancy new camera equipment to good use and start taking some semi-decent photos.
So welcome to a new feature on the blog called Sunday Snaps. Each week I’ll aim to get out and about, take some photos and share them with you every Sunday.
To kick things off, I thought I’d take my camera with me on my (not so) daily walk. Enjoy!
Sunday Snaps: Redland Bay
I live in a beautiful part of the world known as Redland Bay (located in Brisbane, Australia for those of you playing along at home.) It’s bloody miles away from any of the decent action that Brisbane has to offer/is known for, but living near the water provides us with fantastic walking tracks and a great outdoorsy lifestyle, which surprisingly, I really enjoy.
So come, take a walk with me and have a look around The Boulevard, Redland Bay.
NB: All photos were taken on my Olympus OM-D EM-10 using a 25 mm lens and good old Auto setting, because f stops and aperture settings do my non-mathematical head in.
Do you love taking photos? Got any tips for me? I’d love to read them!
