Ok peeps, there’s no Friday Five this week because yesterday was just a little bit stressful. You see the blog decided to throw a bit of a tanty and wouldn’t let me login for quite some time. Then, once I finally managed to access it, I discovered that last week’s posts had been deleted from the blog. Which was slightly irritating as the post I wrote about The Real Housewives of Melbourne managed to get itself 3 retweets on twitter AND 4 new followers on the blog’s Facebook page. So, you know, it pretty much went viral. And now it’s MIA and I can’t find the damn thing anywhere.
So after spending hours, hours I tell you, trying to fix the blog’s tanty yesterday I woke up this morning and thought to myself, “Well, carbs are usually good in a crisis so maybe I’ll have a piece of toast. And smother it in butter. And spread a very generous helping of nutella over that butter. That should fix the problem.” But no. I decided not to eat my feelings. Instead I decided that what in fact I did need was a very heavy dose of cardio. So I hit the shops.
I can confirm, lovely reader, that I worked up quite a sweat in various change rooms at my second home local Westfield and managed to cheer myself up with a lovely lace peplum top from Myer, a new black tee from Sussan, some paper goodies from Kikki K and a bottle of my favourite cleanser.
Then I came home and discovered two lovely letters in my letterbox from Tanya, who runs a gorgeous website/party directory called Life’s Little Celebrations and Anne from the blog Domesblissity. So that was a fantastic surprise and made me realise that even though the technical side of the blogging caper can be a bit hardcore at times, it’s you, the readers, who make it all worthwhile xox
PS: I’d just finished typing this post when Mum rang, all in a flap, because she’d tried to find my last blog two blog posts and they were gone. Gone! And did I know they were missing?! And will I be able to find them?! And what a shame the Real Housewives of Melbourne post is gone because it reminded her of a lot of her golfing pals and she was going to email the post to all of them but not to worry, she’ll just pour herself a soothing drink instead. Good call Pam. Good call.
Have a good weekend everyone. See you back here for more shenanigans (try typing that when you’re two Moet’s in) on Monday ๐
