If you’ve been reading here a while, you’ll know that last year Pam went in hard with the stalking action on the very fabulous blogger, Mrs Woog.
If you’re not familiar with how that hilarious (and slightly embarrassing) story unfolded, please head to this post, as it really is worth a read.
I’ve lived in hope that one day I’d be able to return the stalking favour to Pam and last week BINGO! I managed to do just that. Here’s how it all went down!
On Thursday, I picked my good blogging mate, Miss Chardy, up from The Hilton (which, FYI, is my favourite inner city hotel because it’s all sorts of fancy AND is located smack bang in the middle of the Queen St Mall where my credit card likes to get quite the work out!) and all she could talk about on our way down to the Problogger conference was my Mum, Pam.
“Is Pam meeting us for lunch today?” No, she’s still in Hawaii.
“Oh for gods sake! Doesn’t she know her favourite daughter is coming to visit?! And I’m not talking about you by the way!” (Laughing so much I can’t actually reply)
“I mean I really wanted to meet Mumsy.” That’s so funny that you’ve just called her Mumsy because she sometimes signs her emails off with that to me.
“I wish Pam would email me!” (More laughter from me)
And so it continued for a solid hour, with Miss Chardy quizzing me about Pam and occasionally Errol, but mostly about Pam.
We made our stop for lunch, where Miss Chardy insisted on taking a photo of me while I tried to teach her how to use brighteners instead of filters in the hope that it would me me look 10 years younger and several kilos lighter. I’m not sure we were particularly successful!
Once lunch was done and dusted, I told Miss Chardy to jump in the car as I had a bit of a surprise for her. You see Pam and Errol don’t live too far from where we were lunching, so I decided to do a quick drive past their house so Chards could at least say she’s been there.
This idea was met with borderline squeals of delight (from Miss Chardy, not me, obviously!) and she whipped out her camera quicker than Pam can say, “Who wants another champers?”
We pulled up to Mum and Dad’s house and before I knew it, Miss Chardy was out of the car, sprinting up the driveway and ringing the door bell all while yelling out “Oh Pam, why aren’t you home? I can really see myself have a glass of bubbly with you on your patio!”
It was hilarious and what makes it even funnier is that Pam has absolutely no idea any of this went down and won’t know until she reads this blog post! Really wish I was there to see her reaction to it all!
How awesome is Miss Chardy?! And don’t you think Pam is a good sport for letting Miss Chardy stalk her, even though technically she knew nothing about it?!
