It was months in the planning and finally, on Saturday, the day was here.
The Pop Fizz Chic Wrap Up
50 fabulous women joined me in the private function room at Fiction Bar & Restaurant for an afternoon of fun, fashion and fundraising.
We kicked things off with a glass of bubbly and a chat before getting the afternoon underway.
I knew we were in for a fun afternoon the minute I asked the question, “Should we do a quick Facebook live?” and the answer was a very loud, “YES WE SHOULD!”
So I fired up the camera on my phone and after a very funny false start – everyone cheered as soon as I held the phone up, even though I hadn’t hit ‘go live’ yet! – we had a quick chat to the enormous audience watching at home….
I then presented a style workshop, where we discussed everything from
- my holiday juice cleanse regime – find all the details here – to
- how to find your style.
We also had a bit of fun learning how to take the perfect selfie…
before breaking for canapes and a fresh glass of champers. Scott and Sophie – yes, I roped them into helping out for the afternoon – were kept very busy selling raffle tickets during this time also.
We had so many amazing prizes donated and everyone was so generous when it came to purchasing tickets.
After our break, Nicole from The Builder’s Wife taught us everything we need to know about vignettes.
If you’re on Instagram, have a look at the hashtags #tbwvignette and #popfizzchic for all the event and vignette action!
Then it was time to draw the lucky winners!
We had so many amazing prizes generously donated by businesses large and small.

Thank you
Organising these events requires a huge amount of work. While I do most of that on my own, it would not be possible to even plan the event without the incredible generosity of the businesses and people who donated prizes. Thank you.
It also wouldn’t be possible to organise a charity event without the amazing support of kind-hearted people who snap up a ticket, come along for the afternoon and buy a few raffle tickets while they’re there. Thank you.
And just quietly, you were an AMAZING group of women. I had so much fun with you all. We really should do it again sometime.
I’m extremely grateful for Nicole saying yes to presenting an interiors workshop during the event. Not only is Nicole an expert in all things interior and building related, she’s also one of the most genuinely supportive women I’ve met. Thank you.
And finally, how good were Scott and Sophie at checking everyone in and selling those raffle tickets?! Scott’s photo taking skills might need a bit of work (sorry non guests, that one’s an inside joke) but his ability to hold a clipboard is world-class. Thank you.
The Amount Raised for The Pyjama Foundation
When I organised and hosted Coffee With Kirsten last year, I was hoping to raise $1,000
We smashed that goal and raised a total of $1,467 for The Pyjama Foundation.
This year I was secretly hoping we could crack $2,000
I am beside myself with excitement to tell you that this year’s event has raised a grand total of…..
$2,351*
THANK YOU. 2,351 times, THANK YOU.
We’re you at the Pop Fizz Chic Event? Or did you have #popfizzchic FOMO?
*full disclosure: This amount has been reached via raffle ticket sales on the day and the profit from ticket sales to the event – after deducting the per person cost for food, glass of champagne, room hire and eventbrite fee.
