I don’t know about you but I love a good chat.
Usually I catch up with your good self during our Friday Night Live chats on Facebook.
If you haven’t joined us there before, you totally should. It kicks off at 6pm QLD time and we chat about everything from the latest lipgloss you need in your life to what Guns is whipping up for dinner.
So basically, all the big issues. It’s pretty much like watching 60 Minutes but with bigger hair.
But today I thought we’d go about things the old school way. Yep, we’re going to blog like it’s 2015 and get our chat on.
What have you been up to lately?
Great question. I’m so pleased you asked.
My gorgeous cousin, her husband and daughter stayed with us on the weekend.
They flew in from NZ and when they landed on Saturday night, it was pouring with rain and a balmy 18 degrees. Welcome to sunny Queensland!
We did the tourist thing on Sunday and like all good tour guides, I made sure there was something of interest for everyone.
Stop One: New Farm Park for Miss M who slept through the whole thing. Can’t say I blame her. Parks aren’t really my thing either.
Stop Two: Chur Burger for the blokes. I can confirm that fries loaded with mac & cheese AND bacon are delicious and possibly slightly artery hardening.
Stop Three: Pottery Barn with a West Elm chaser. Not planned but we were in the area, so it made sense to swing by and have a squiz.
Stop Four: Donut Time for the kids. And by kids, I mean adults, obvs. 32 bucks for 5 donuts. I still don’t know how I feel about that.
On Monday, I was treated to a superior manicure
before taking the kiwi trio somewhere they’d never been before.
A place that I have a serious love hate relationship with.
A place where the following people frequent on a regular basis:
- slow walkers
- people who randomly stop in the middle of the maze to snap photos of 47 different living room arrangements that they will never actually create for themselves*
- couples who would obviously like to end their relationship within the next 45 minutes to an hour
That’s right, we went to IKEA.
To be honest, it wasn’t as painful as I thought it was going to be. But that could’ve been the vodka I had before we left.
Jokes. AS IF I’d have vodka at 9.30 in the morning.
It was wine.
*may or may not be me
Speaking of wine, if you’ve ever had a glass or three of Moet Ice at someone’s house and thought to yourself, “This is a bit of alright. I think I’ll pick up a couple of bottles of this next time I’m at Dan Murphys” only to discover that a bottle of that delicious beverage will set you back $99 A BOTTLE –
grab a bottle of JP Chenet Ice Edition instead.
It’s around 13 bucks a bottle and tastes almost exactly the same as the Moet version.
Serve it over ice with some fresh and/or frozen fruit and BAM! You’ve got yourself a juice cleanse.
Oh and if you happen to be looking for some juice cleanse tips, my How To Do A Juice Cleanse post will definitely help.
But enough about healthy living, what else have I been up to?
Embracing colour. That’s what.

Finally, in between playing tour guide and spotting beverage bargains, I’ve been flat out running Skin Boss.
Our range of Skin Boss Body Oils will be released VERY soon – yes, that’s a sneak peek of one of the blends – which is ridiculously exciting.
We’ll also be on the hunt for an Instagram brand rep shortly.
If you or anyone you know loves our products and can take gorgeous, light bright photos of them, DM me via the Skin Boss Instagram account. You could be our very first Skin Boss Brand Rep!
Ok, so that’s about it from me. Over to you.
