Well this is awkward. Because honestly? As if I’d know!
The last time I went to a State of Origin anything was in 1995 and even then it was for the free pizza.
From memory I wore maroon jeans – yes, they were an actual thing.
I bought them from Just Jeans and no, they weren’t a State of Origin special. They were regular baggy coloured jeans that were quite popular back in the 90’s.
I’m fairly sure I paired them with a black belt, a chambray shirt, a pair of brown brogues with white socks – Eileen from Seinfeld was the fashion icon back then – and enormous hair. Good fashion times.
what to wear to a State of Origin party
If I was going to a party to watch the football tonight, I’d probably wear something like this:
shop the look:
Katies distressed relaxed jean
FRANKiE4 NAT sneakers in cream
However I’ll be at home tonight, not at a State of Origin party. I’ll be wearing today’s #sharedmystyle outfit which you can find on Instagram and Facebook.
Although the boots will probably be replaced with slippers because after 7pm I become quite the Nanna.
If you’ll be at home too and footy isn’t your thing, come on over and join our HapHappy Healthy Beautiful You Facebook group.
We’ll be chatting about all sorts of things and I’m fairly sure none of them will be football related. You can join us here.
