I don’t know about you, but life has been a bit ridiculous lately. Ridiculous in a good way, but incredibly busy.
So today I’m going to stop and have a bit of a chat. So tell me, what’s new with you? Have you done anything exciting lately? Bought anything new? There are so many sales on at the moment, have you noticed?
Yesterday I was in Katies – my local store happens to be located right next to the supermarket, so it made sense to duck in there quickly before having to fill yet another trolley with food – and they had 30% off all sorts of things.
Including these extremely comfortable jeans, which at the bargain price of $41.97, came home with me.
They’re true to size – I’m wearing a 12 – and have a good amount of stretch in them. So basically you can eat that pasta for lunch and not worry about your top button digging into your tummy all afternoon. Winning. You can grab a pair here.
Ruby Olive have a 30% off sale happening at the moment too. Head to their website and use the code MOVINGTIME to get your hands on their gorgeous jewellery at fabulous prices. I’m wearing Mod Squad Striped Drop Earrings, find them here.
Sadly, that’s the only shopping I’ve done in weeks. I know. I am totally letting the team down.
SKIN BOSS
I have however been flat-out ordering all sorts of exciting things for the SKIN BOSS launch.
There are hundreds of luxe white serum bottles waiting to be filled. The printed sample cards, thank you cards and business cards are due to arrive any minute now.
The labels are being printed as we speak and the gorgeous white bags your product will arrive in are about to be ordered. It really is all happening!
We’re hoping the virtual SKIN BOSS shelves will be filled and ready to go within the next two weeks.
If you haven’t already, you’d best get your name on the SKIN BOSS VIP list. There will be all sorts of exclusive offers and freebies available only to those on that list.
You can also follow SKIN BOSS on Instagram and Facebook.
GROWING UP
In other news, it’s Bailey’s 16th birthday today. We’re celebrating with cake tonight and tomorrow he’s having his friends over for a bit of a party.
Last year’s cake. Not baked, hacked. Find all the details here.
Next week he’s going for his Learner’s drivers license and then the 100 hours of driving begins.
Remember when you first learnt to drive? It’s that first taste of almost freedom, combined with just a smidge of holy crap I’m actually doing this, don’t you think?
People have asked if I’m completely freaked out about my kids learning to drive and going off into the world on their own.
I’m nervous about it. I mean I’m 44 – I shake my head at P platers often. Mainly because that’s what old people do.
But I also want my kids to get amongst it, you know? I want them to know it’s ok to grow up and start doing all the things.
As much as I love hanging out with them, they’re not here to keep me company. They’re here to create a life of their own, to make their mark, to make a difference. I can’t wait to see what that will be.
POST EVENT BLUES
I’ve decided post event blues is a thing. Even though it was one almighty task to organise, Pop Fizz Chic was so much fun.
My inbox has been flooded with the loveliest emails from guests who attended and businesses who kindly donated prizes. It just goes to show that there really are so many kind people in the world.
It also got me thinking that maybe we should catch up a bit more often. Not in a full on event way, but maybe in a ‘would you like to meet here for a sneaky champers’ kind of way. What do you think?
I think that’s about it from me.
