This post is proudly brought to you by my inhaler and a pair of unmatched bed socks.
Most days I’d describe my personal style as smart casual. I tend to stick to the same sort of clothes; jeans/pants that are more comfy than clingy, a t-shirt or shirt, a jacket/blazer if it’s a bit cooler, a pair of comfy shoes and sometimes a scarf.
T-shirt from Sussan (current), pants from Country Road (last season), shoes from FRANKiE4 Footwear (current), Handbag from Kate Spade
I don’t wear a lot of jewellery (am a minimalist when it comes to accessories) although as this photo proves, I am excellent at accessorising with random pieces of cotton that seem to leave my t-shirts and land on my pants quite frequently.
I’m also an expert at spilling food and drink down my front, evidence of which can be found in this post, so wearing anything white is classed as High Risk around these parts!
However lately, thanks to the delightful cold and flu season that likes to grace me with its presence every August in the form of a highly annoying asthma related coughing bug thing (yes, that’s its official name!) that knocks me flat for days, sometimes even weeks on end, my personal style now looks a little something like this:
Honestly people, the inhaler action, the not so faint waft of Vicks Vapour Rub that is seeping from my pores and the thick bed socks I’m wearing because for some strange reason my feet are freezing are all working together to form a look that screams, ‘My god, what is wrong with that woman?!’
I don’t know about you, but I can not WAIT for Spring and Summer to hurry up and get here!
What’s happening at your place right now? Is it all coughing fits and inhalers too? Or are you swanning around in fancy kaftans and sipping on cocktails?
Oh and what’s your personal style? Smart Casual or something else? So many questions, such little time!
