A while ago a friend sent me a very funny email that went something like this:
Him: Need any help with dinner?
Her: Yes. See the bag of potatoes? Peel half of them and put them in the pot.
Which made me laugh out loud and reminded me of the time I asked Scott if he could chop a zucchini and put it in a pot to cook, while I got the rest of dinner ready.
“No problem!” he said.
“I’m all over it!” he said.
And what was served with our steak and spuds that night I hear you ask? A delicious side dish of BOILED CUCUMBER!
Cucumbers. They’re delicious IN A SALAD. Chopped and boiled to within an inch of their life? Yeah, not so much.
Now I should probably point out that Scott can cook, and does so on a semi-regular basis, but I think it’s safe to say that despite his many and varied talents, he would probably fail miserably as a chef/vegetable farmer/vegan!
So tell me, who does the cooking at your place? And do they know what a zucchini looks like?!
